VentureBeat, a magazine for venture capital interests, has a nice rundown of the electric cars available now and in the near future. Rene and I are signed up for one of these, but we need to make sure we'll physically fit into the car before we buy.
The island is a great spot for an electric car. There isn't a requirement to go freeway speeds, and a limited travel distance works fine if you don't plan on going over town. I'd like to see one with regenerative braking, though. That's where the real savings lies.
