So this new year has not gotten off to the great change start I expected. In short Goosefoot is going to have another restaurant in the Three Cats space. I kinda get it... they wanted someone with a guaranteed track record for a restaurant and they wanted someone who would give them a financial boost as well. I understand that but I cant help but feel they are making a substantial mistake with this direction. We will see and I wish them and the new restaurant success.
In the meantime, I am back to reexamining this spot for Rockhoppers. I can't help but feel there is a better spot for me! We will see. If you hear of anything opening or know of a location... let me know.
One of the ideas I am pursuing is the concept of a summer "doggy cafe". This is an outdoor spot where you and your pet can eat together. You would get a yummy and doggy would get a doggy yummy. I am excited about this prospect but need the right location for this idea. Another thing I will be pursuing is advertising with the acoustic music group in Seattle. This group advertises open mics and I have been told that my open mics on Friday will start to really grow if I get them advertised.
In truth, I liked my new business plan so much I am really wanting to incorporate it. I will be looking at doing a few small changes at the shop for the time being. Come in and check them out and we will see what transpires in the next couple of months.
In the meantime I am starting to fill up my Saturday events and am planning for the future. How does everyone feel about a once a month special dinner. RSVP only? Let me know as I am thinking of doing something for Valentines Day this year.
I think I am getting that moving twitch on Whidbey Island.
