Well, spring is on it's way finally! The weather is picking up and tax season is done and so is spring break and Rene is getting up her energy and starting to change a few things around the shop and well... all is good with the world!
This post will be on pre-Easter dinner. First off, this last Saturday we celebrated Spring/welcome Easter dinner with Pork Tenderloin, scalloped potatoes, steamed asparagus and fresh strawberry shortcake. I have not been getting a lot of people in for our dinners and the thought seems to be that the dinners might be to expensive. My comment is... try and find a comparable dinner with coffee, tea or soda for $20 per person! I charged $15.00 for each plate. And that included shortcake for dessert!
So after some discussion we decided to spruce up the settings and make them a little fancier. This is what I came up with and let me tell ya... It was a great dinner with 11 people present! I can only cook for 20 so it was a hit. I hope you will try to come and see what we do for dinner. The idea is that it is a gourmet meal served in a family setting and I promise you will love the food and you will not leave hungry!
