Upcoming Events

Happy Customers

Hi everyone! We had our first dinner and Music night this last Saturday, July 5. It was a terrific dinner of homemade beef or chicken enchiladas with homemade salsa, a wonderful Mexican Cobb salad, rice and refried beans and strawberry shortcake. We had 9 for dinner and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. There were no plates left with food on them!! and there were no leftovers!! The music was terrific as always with Steve Jordan and all in all the night was a success. Anthony Easterwood

You may want to mark your calendars for the next dinner and music events that will also occur this month. On Saturday July 18 we will be having a down home summer dinner with fried chicken, real chicken gravy and potatoes, a wonderful green salad, black eyed peas, corn bread and for dessert ... southern comfort cake (must be over 21 to imbibe this cake) and/or strawberry shortcake or watermelon. The dinner will be followed up by music from Anthony Easterwood. Anthony has been to our place before and he is such a wonderful singer and player that we truly feel honored to have him play here. Anthony does country western and I am telling you... he sounds just like Garth Brooks!! Come check it out! The cost for both dinner and music is $20.00 with $5.00 going to the musician. The cost for just the music is $5.00. Music starts at 8:00PM. Cassandra Robertson

The following week is a really busy Saturday for us. We will be hosting a coffee Klatch with Tim Knue (more of that in the papers). Dinner will be at 6:00PM followed at 8:00PM by Cassandra Robertson. Cassandra has been on the island before and has an incredible voice. Her music is political, funny, and just plain enjoyable to listen to and she has an incredibly wicked sense of humor. The dinner will consist of my world famous (it will get there I promise)seafood manicotti made with homemade noodles and sauce and stuffed with lobster, krab and shrimp meat as well as 5 different cheeses. We will also have garlic bread, ceviche, and more.... (I have not quite got the rest of the meal planned out yet but the manicotti alone is worth the money. The cost is $20.00 per meal with again $5.00 going to the musician. Tim Knue and Mary Margaret Haugen

The other thing I want to let you know about in advance is the Coffee Klatches that I am setting up. I have invited Tim Knue to come join us on the 26th of July at 4:00PM to 5:30PM. It is my goal to invite the public to come visit with Tim on a casual basis and find out more about what he plans if he is elected in November. Please come join us and get to know more about the people running for office. Helen Price Johnson

We also have a Coffee Klatch planned on July 30 for Helen Price Johnson. Helen is running for county commissioner against Phil Bakke. Her coffee klatch is for 7:00PM to 8:30PM so please come and meet Helen and find out her plans for the Commissioner's office.

I guess that is all for now. Check out the calendar and see what else we have going. Our open mic has not had a lot of action lately. We moved it to 8:00PM to allow for Beverly and Julie's Breathe In Radio show but we have not had any musicians.
