Great Old Folk Music

Now on Youtube, a ton of recordings from Pete Seeger's great old folk music program, Rainbow Quest. The quality of the video varies, but this is an amazing resource for folk music fans. You could spend hours with this music, and we're not likely to see performers like this again.

Pete with Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee on 'Key to the Highway'.

How about Donovan and Shawn Phillips with 'Kingfisher'.

Cousin Emmy, 'Going Down the Road Feeling Bad'

Can't leave out The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem on 'I Never Will Play the Wild Rover No More'

We get some great folk music live here at Rockhoppers, and I'm recording a bunch of it on the web. This batch of old videos is inspiring for me, and I hope you get a chance to come down to Rockhoppers to see some of our great performers. As nice as it is to view these videos, live music is always better.
