The Spiderwick Chronicles is a nice, family-friendly movie, suitable for everybody except young children, who may find portions too intense. I really enjoyed the film, it seemed very complete and well-acted, and the cinematography was good. The special effects were very good, believable and appropriate.
On top of a good movie experience, the film's website is full of interesting and exciting interactive content. I liked using the 'seeing stone' to unlock secret content, and particularly enjoyed the wealth of downloads (we just used a few for our posts). I'm excited about the potential for expanded DVD content, and sequel potential.
