Papercraft

Origami is not the only papercraft popular in Japan. There is a huge popularity in 3D models made from paper. This papercraft uses your computer printer to create colored, marked, and diagrammed model creation sheets on your paper. The results are striking. Above is the first page of Canon's instructions for the Chinese dragon. This one is for an Audi Pike's Peak racer. The models can be very sophisticated, to say the least.

Canon has a large assortment of these papercraft models at this website. Yamaha papercraft has not only some of it's motorcycles, but also animals and seasonal themes. BMW of Thailand has a huge assortment of BMW's for you to make.

There's more! Danish truck and car maker DAF, Daihatsu, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota, and even Trabant, all have downloadable paper models.

Finally, here is a large link list of paper models, mainly foreign cars, for you to make. Watch out for paper cuts!
