Well it has happened. our fun filled three day weekend and when it is all done I will go home and die!! at least for two or three days.

This is our third year of celebrating Clinton Days. It began as a celebration for a welcome to Clinton sign that never got made and it turned into a celebration of a community that is rich in history and not so much in community. This community is not Mayberry RFD as I once referred it to... it is minus a few things like Andy and Bea and Opie but also the economies are to different, the old families are still here and the newbies are coming in and they are demanding the same respect and finding a community that is not so willing to share at times... there is different ideas of community and well it is very difficult for a community that has a highway going right through its center. But... we are becoming a community.. It is a hard, long process and we will get there if I dont take a few people back behind the woodshed and give them the spanking thier daddy should have years ago... or maybe when I do...

Anyway, Clinton Days is a really fun three day celebration and I apologize that I have not posted much on it. I have been REALLY REALLY BUSY! Yesterday I operated on 1 hour of sleep (as did most of our group). Its amazing how much goes on behind the scenes when you are creating something like this event. So anyway, I have posted the events for the next two days here so you can see what you would like to come visit. Hopefully you will come to Rockhoppers for some coffee, breakfast or some goodies and keep in mind... all our painted furniture is on sale now 20% off.
