Before digital photography, taking a picture was a special event. It actually cost money to both buy the film and get the film developed, and there was a significant wait before seeing the results. If you wanted quicker results, you had to use the more expensive (and more limited) Polaroid technology. The photos were often bad, but had an intrinsic value, so were saved.
Internet K-Hole features entire albums of photos from the decades before digital. It's an entertaining trip to my youth, and a wonderful anthropological peek into the past. Note: not always entirely SFW. Enjoy!
