Today's comic is Gene's Journal, a comic about a young Gene Roddenberry. Gene has some annoying aliens 'helping' him through his childhood. The comic updates Monday & Wednesday, and has only 72 episodes, so the archive is manageable.
The storyline is pretty simple, and I think a familiarity with 'Star Trek' is helpful with some of the humor, but other than that it's a pretty good comic with lots of features on the site.
