I found one of my favorite t-shirts today. It features Chernabog, the demon-like creature from the sequence 'Night on Bald Mountain' in the 1940 movie 'Fantasia'. Officially designated a villain by Disney, I believe that Chenabog is less a villain than a primal force of nature. In other words, he's not evil, he's just misunderstood.
Based on the Black God of Slavic mythology, Bela Lugosi was the live model on which the animated Chernabog was based. This is a great site dedicated to the character, if you'd like more information and pictures. I wonder where I can get one of those neat sculptures?
