Queen Rania of Jordan has her own Youtube channel, and it's very interesting. The queen is broadcasting her ideas regarding the role of women in modern Islamic society, her thoughts on Islam as a peaceful and beautiful religion, and she is fighting against extremism.
A well-educated, lovely young woman, Queen Rania is the wife of Jordan's King Abdullah II. She is a tireless advocate for women's rights, and holds the (actual, not symbolic) rank of colonel in the Jordanian armed forces. Queen Rania is the exception to the rule, as Jordan has been a reliable ally.
Regarding your comment that her culture is "a culture we have to, and can, learn to live with," we have lived with the arab islamic culture since the formation of this country.
I suggest that the nations of islam have to, and can, learn to live with us.
Unfortunately, many of those countries and tribes have yet to figure it out.
