Sad news today, musician and actor Jerry Reed has passed away. His cavalier attitude and acceptance of his role as a comic foil in the Smokey and the Bandit movies resulted, sometimes, in his dismissal as a serious musician. As these videos show, Jerry was in fact an amazing guitar talent, with a love of whimsy and challenging licks.
