Monday morning I made a trip across the street to the local grocery store for some bread. I said hello to a guy sitting on the low wall at the side of the store. He was just finishing some food from the store's heat-and-eat section. I mentioned to him that he should have come over to the coffeehouse for a baked potato.
Turns out that it was this guy, Jesse Whitecrow, who's near to finishing a walk across the United States. I wish I'd stopped to talk to him -- his story sounds pretty interesting.
He's got a website, and a blog. He expects to write a book about his journey. We look forward to reading it.
