For 17 years I didn't eat meat. A few years ago I started eating meat again, and now I'm a dedicated carnivore. This post from Ooh, you tasty little things... reminds me of experiments I did with muffin mixes, back in my teenage days.
I used to make a mean bacon muffin, in fact my mother took my muffins to some womens group meeting, and entered them into the cooking contest. They won the blue ribbon. No, she didn't tell them her 15-year old son was the cook. Funny, but I'm still a little peeved about that, 34 years later.
Anyway, now I want to make some bacon cookies. We have some cookie mix here at the shop, and bacon... Stand by for genius, everyone! Peanut butter bacon cookies are coming to Rockhoppers.
Oddly enough, the only images I can find for peanut butter bacon cookies are for doggie treats. I refuse to accept this obvious disparity!
I'll let you know how they come out, and if you come by in the next few days I'll give you one if you ask nice.

Hey, I've got a recipe for a Breakfast Bonanza cookie that has bacon, cheddar cheese, and oatmeal in it! They're really good!!
